Print Room Supervisor
We are currently working with a well-established and forward-thinking client looking for a Print Room Supervisor to join one of their sites located just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a pivotal role that requires an experienced supervisor who is accustomed to a fast-paced environment from industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive or FMCG.
This is an extremely important role that will be responsible for managing all aspects of the print room and ensuring all production processes are supplied with labels to the correct standard and in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
* To ensure all label controls within the Print Room are adhered to at all times
* To ensure that all label stocks are maintained to their optimum levels at all times
* To ensure that labels are made available in a timely fashion
* To liaise with the Production Manager/Supervisor/On line QC with regards to their label supply requirements
* To ensure D + Sheets are read accurately and are fully understood
* To attend and participate in relevant meetings
* To record, manage & control all waste generated within the Print Room
* To ensure all equipment is fully operational and to deal with defects immediately
* Ensure that equipment is regularly serviced as per contract
* To ensure all staff rosters complement the requirements of the business
* Maintain a concise & accurate label database to prevent printing errors
* To participate in compiling label printing procedures for reference & use by the printing team
* To ensure that the Print Room Administrators receive actual and provisional orders
* To ensure that all label check sheets are correctly checked and signed
* To ensure that labels are printed in a timely order and to manage the design database
* To ensure that label handover procedure are adhered to
* To supervise attendance, timekeeping & work performance of all Print Room staff
* To participate, deliver and manage training & development requirements
* To manage a team including holidays, disciplines and return to work interviews
* To correctly set and supervise voltage settings on label printers
* To carry out test prints and report any breakdown or loss of expected quality
* To ensure that all printers are maintained and cleaned including printer heads
* To ensure that any chemicals are correctly used and stored
* To ensure a sufficient stock of labels is printed to cover production orders and to cover days off
* To adhere to all aspects of the company hygiene policy and all operational procedures
Experience and Qualifications:
* Supervisory experience
* Educated to QCF Level 3 in an academic or process related discipline
* Thorough knowledge of IT systems including Word, Excel,Outlook and Etiquette
* English to a high standard both written and verbal
* Experience working within a fast-paced environment would be beneficial, ideally from Manufacturing, FMCG etc
Hours of Work:
7am – 5pm, Tuesday – Saturday
