Semi Senior Accountant up to £35k pa inc to join a Professional Accountancy practice in London NW1
The firm
Charles William Chartered Accountants is an established Chartered Accountancy and Tax Practice based in Central London (NW1 3EE) near Warren Street and Euston stations. We are expanding our client base quickly which consist mainly of professional businesses in either the medical and entertainment sectors, funded start-ups run by brilliant visionaries and academics as well as professional consulting businesses.
The Role
We require a competent part qualified semi senior accountant to join our team to deal with preparation of Company Accounts and Tax computations, Bookkeeping, Sole Trader and rental accounts, VAT returns for businesses on various schemes with some where partial exemption and reverse charge matters regularly apply and Self-Assessment tax returns and finally the provision of Management Information to some clients on either a monthly or quarterly basis.
Software
· IRIS suite ( Company accounts production, Business tax, Personal tax ) · Excel · Xero is the main bookkeeping software we extensively use. You must, as a senior accountant, have considerable Adviser level of experience in this software. ·
Skills Desired
A successful semi senior accountant must have worked in a UK Accounting Practice for at least 18 months or more years in the last 3 years and have considerable experience with both Xero and IRIS software.
And a semi senior accountant should: ·
Prepare Company Accounts accurately with reconciliation and schedules to support all entries.
· Prepare Self-Assessment tax returns and VAT returns.
· Follow our internal work procedures and work standards;
· Have excellent skills with Excel and Microsoft Office programs generally.
· Use initiative to problem solve;
· Follow the practice procedures producing high quality and accurate work;
· Be professional, focused and logical.
