Production Manager – Events/Joinery
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £200 – £230/day
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Production Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality event builds that meet budget and safety requirements across a variety of clients and projects, with a focus on live events.
The role is Temporary with potentially going permanent depending on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with production, project, and operations managers, as well as other skilled carpenters and teams, to ensure all projects and installations are completed to client satisfaction.
* Provide comprehensive build and carpentry support, including attending daily meetings, developing build plans, and hands-on construction both in our facility and on-site.
* Effectively communicate with clients and tradespeople, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities.
* Possess a solid understanding of build drawings and planning processes within a fast-paced production environment.
* Skilled in the use of woodworking tools and machinery, with CNC experience being an advantage (training provided).
* Maintain excellent time management, organization, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with tight deadlines.
* Comfortable with manual labor and working at heights, with a willingness to contribute to all aspects of event and exhibition builds.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Extensive experience in event and exhibition builds, festivals, and roadshows.
* Exceptional carpentry and joinery skills.
* Knowledge of Octanorm and event build systems would be beneficial.
* Understanding of electrical LED lighting and AV systems would be an advantage.
* Health and Safety training (desirable).
* Clean driving license (essential).
* Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
