Loans/ Guarantees Banking Operations

Salary : £45000 – £55000/annum plus banking benefits
Previous experience of loans or Guarantees based in banking operations is required for this role
The role is for a small London Bank is looking for an experiences Operations Analyst for a unique role in a small bespoke team covering all operational aspects of:
* Loans -Bi-lateral / Syndicated / Commercial Property
* Guarantees – Project financing (e.g., Bid Bonds / APGs / Performance Bonds)
* Payments – International customer payments in capacity as offshore account bank in project financing facilities.
The team is involved in all stages of a transaction from documentation, settlement/issuance, administration, and CDD/KYC as it operates as a back office and part middle office function.
The successful candidate will be required to have a solid background at a senior level in either Loans and / or guarantees with payments experience beneficial. They will need to demonstrate proven experience beyond a processing function. As an integral member of a small team, they must be prepared to be trained in and actively involved in all daily work across all functions.
Responsibilities:
* Loans- Facility and transaction documentation (from an admin perspective but also ability to analyse and comment on facility documentation), dealing with lawyers, borrowers, and counterparties throughout the life cycle, ensuring facilities and loans are maintained in accordance with credit approvals. Drawdowns, rollovers, fees, rate fixing, waivers, secondary market trades.
* Guarantees – Text reviews with ability to analyse and comment on, experience of underlying recourse documentation (counterindemnities, counter-guarantees), dealing with customers, counterparties, and lawyers (where required), ensuring facilities are maintained in accordance with credit approvals, SWIFT MT760 / 767 / 799, issuance, administration, fees.
* Payments – Preparing and checking Inward/Outward customer payments via SWIFT (MT103 / 202 / 202cov), accounting entries, nostro positioning and transaction monitoring.
* CDD/KYC- On-boarding and ongoing reviews as frontline responsible for customers in relation to offshore account bank and offshore security agent roles under project financing facilities as well as SWIFT RMAs.
Skills & Experience
* Excellent in-depth knowledge of Loans and / or Guarantees at a senior level.
* Knowledge of international customer payments (SWIFT MT103/202cov)
* Knowledge of CDD/KYC requirements.
* 5 years+ relevant experience
* Proven experience beyond a processing role
* Excellent Word / Excel / Outlook / systems skills (Midas Fusion / SWIFT)
* Small team environment
