We are looking for a keen, energetic person to join our fast-moving, high-quality kitchen team with immediate effect. Being a Kitchen Porter could be a great start for you in this three AA rosette kitchen. If you are looking to learn and develop and are interested in learning what flavours marry beautifully together this Kitchen Porter position may well be a fantastic opportunity for you. The kitchen team are hard-working and work well together creating a focused atmosphere in the kitchen.

Responsibilities & Duties

General back of house cleaning to a high standard
Keeping the efficiency of the kitchen flowing
Making sure the chefs have all they need to make their top-quality dishes.
As a Kitchen Porter you will help to keep the kitchen running smoothly and ensure that it is clean, safe and hygienic. Your duties will include washing pots, pans, plates and cutlery as well as washing the kitchen appliances and work surfaces.

The Kitchen Porters are also involved in:-

Unloading deliveries, handling chemicals, changing oils and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly stored.
General cleaning of all equipment used in the kitchen- Complete all daily cleaning schedule tasks to the highest standard.
Keep clean and clear pot wash and plate wash areas to Health Hygiene and Safety regulations.
Store crockery and cooking utensils in the correct places after cleaning- Removal of refuse and cleaning of refuse areas
Report any maintenance issues in your area to your Head of Department
Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your Supervisors and Management team.

Goldsborough village can be challenging to travel to and from for staff who are reliant on public transport. Employing a local or candidates who own their own car or have their own means of transport would be ideal.
