Horticulturist / Tractor Driver

Salary : £10.21/hour
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To undertake a range of tractor mounted grass cutting operations on Parks and Green Spaces across the Borough of Rugby. To carry out Horticultural grounds maintenance duties for the Parks and Grounds Service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate a tractor along with tractor drawn machinery in accordance with safe working practices. Including undertaking all daily checks and the completion of appropriate documentation.
Undertaking a full range of horticultural tasks including tree planting, formal annual bedding and herbaceous borders.
The use and care of horticultural machinery
Must Haves
Qualified to / or working towards a NPTC level 2 Safe Use of Mowers Certificate or equivalent.
Hold a full current driving licence
Ability to carry out a wide range of practical tasks including digging and the use of mechanical plant, pruning, sports markings, turfing, annual bedding and other physical work in all weathers
