Architectural Technologist

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist with a proven background in the Residential sector, to join a fast growing Architectural practice based just outside Wolverhampton.

The practice are medium in size, and have had a successful past 24 months despite the obvious pressures that practically all companies and industries have faced in that time. During this period, the practice have grown from 3 members of staff to a team of 11, with the need now for an Architectural Technologist to join the team.

The growth over the last 18 months is attributed to a number of things, mainly being down to an ever growing client portfolio and project workload. The practice work with some of the top housebuilder names in the Midlands region, and the quality of work produced is so high that their reputation is growing, resulting in demand for their services also growing.

There is now a requirement and opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join the team to work on predominantly new build residential developments. It would be ideal for the Architectural Technologist to have worked in a private practice with a focus on Residential work, or coming directly from a housebuilder environment. You will be involved at most stages of the construction cycle, on new build developments from small plots through to multi unit developments.

Job running experience would be helpful but isn't necessarily essential. The position is open to both "intermediate" and "senior" level Architectural Technologists. So for "intermediate" level Technologists looking to gain job running experience, the practice would gladly provide you with that opportunity and develop your skills in that regard.

Requirements of the Architectural Technologist as follows:

Degree qualified in Architectural Technology, or a HNC/HND in a related field.
At least 5-10 years experience, ideally in a Residential focused environment.
Fully proficient in the use of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
Living within commutable proximity, with a full UK driving license (desirable).
In return, a competitive salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful Architectural Technologist, likely to be in the region of £35,000-£45,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Owing to the need for regular meetings with teams in the office and clients, the practice have returned to full time office working. Flexibility may be offered in extenuating circumstances such as childcare etc, to be discussed with the Director.
