Outstanding opportunity here for an Architectural Technologist to join a fast growing Architectural practice, specialising in Residential architecture, based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.

THE COMPANY:

As an Architectural Technologist, you will be joining a fast growing practice that has been established just under 5 years. The practice is run by a vastly experienced Architect that has a wealth of experience in the Residential sector, along with more niche areas such as Student Living and Care Homes.

After establishing the practice in 2018, the team has since grown to 10 highly dedicated and talented members of staff, a team which features experienced Architectural Technicians, Technologists, Architects and Architectural Assistants. The practice are based in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham city centre, an ideal location for Architectural Technologists to be involved in city centre working.

With bars, cafes, shops and close links to rail stations, the practice are ideally located. They also pride themselves on developing and mentoring Architectural Assistants on their way through to achieving Part 3 accreditation and becoming a fully qualified Architect. Due to the nature of the work involved and the size of the practice, as an Architectural Technologist you will be exposed to varying projects and construction stages, all with the aim of becoming an accredited member of CIAT.

THE POSITION – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

The position on offer is for an Architectural Technologist, ideally with approximately 5 years of industry experience, ideally with a particular focus on experience in the Residential sector. It would be ideal if the Architectural Technologist for this position has worked in a housebuilder, or an Architectural practice that specialises in Residential architecture.

The practice use AutoCAD and Revit software, with Revit software experience being particularly important for this position.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST:

Possess a degree in Architectural Technology, or a HNC/HND in a related field.
Approximately 5 years of industry experience.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD along with the added benefit of Revit software (training can be provided here).
Excellent presentation skills.
Must be enthusiastic with good communication skills both written and verbally
Ability to use Photoshop & Indesign.
