Waste Support Officer – Sheffield
Pay Rate: £11.90ph
Accountabilities:
Work with the Area Estate Teams to identify and target hotspot areas for problems with fly tipping/black bags and recycling etc.
Send letters to inform residents about the campaign and ask for their support.
Carry out home visits to ensure that residents are aware of the appropriate ways to dispose of household waste.
Distribute literature and produce and display other publicity materials around education and enforcement.
Attend local community and TARA meetings to provide updates and deal with enquiries.
Arrange and support events within the community.
Carry out daily walkabouts at identified hotspot areas.
Identify and rectify any waste capacity issues through the Waste Management team & Veolia.
Liaise with other Council officers, in particular the Councils Environmental Protection team and Waste Management team.
Applicants must be a car driver
