Salary : £28000 – £30000/annum

New Sous Chef- Permanent role based in Bulwick

Purpose of Role:

An exciting new opportunity to work with MasterChef finalist in his new restaurant.

You will be reporting directly to the Head Chef and Executive Chef. The role is made up of varying responsibilities and provides a rewarding opportunity to grow and progress to a Head Chef role.

You will be directing and delegating tasks within the kitchen, while cooking and preparing dishes at a very high standard.

Your role will include assisting the head chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes; while assisting with determining food inventory needs and maintaining responsible health, safety and food hygiene practises.

Desirable qualifications include: 

Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award
Minimum 2 years relevant experience
Awareness of manual handling techniques
Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
Experience of kitchen equipment
Experience of dangerous equipment such as knives
Competent level of English spoken and written
Working Hours:

40 hours a week
