Senior Buyer – Rail/Construction
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £38000 – £45000/annum
A large construction business requires a Senior Buyer to work with the department lead on a number of procurement functions. This is a new role due to increased project requirements across the Birmingham and surrounding areas. You would have responsibility for negotiating subcontract agreements with our internal and external partners. Maintaining and developing relationships with supply chain partners. Raising contracts and ensuring the best possible arrangement are made for materials, plant and services required by the projects with a construction/rail specific environment.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities to include
The ideal candidate will have worked as a Senior Buyers function within construction, infrastructure and civils-based sectors, experience of the rail desirable. You must have some exposure to operating as a pro-active supplier relationship manager with the ability on varied roles requirements. in return you will be working on a high-profile project for a principal contractor based in Birmingham
