Large infrastructure project based in Dudley requires a Works Manager to lead a Civils and groundworks disciplines of part of a substantial project
The Works Manager will be responsible for the management of the construction packages in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers' objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. They will deliver projects to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The post-holder will work closely with the Site Manager, Engineers and Workforce to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
Responsibilities to include
Site Management
Manage works site personal and ensure specific civils packages are delivered on time and budge
Assume overall responsibility for sections of work and successful delivery of projects areas
Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents
Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects
Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP's and waste management plans, in line with main contractor company procedures
Adhere to supervise the project programme
Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks
The ideal candidate will have extensive civils experience and managed projects (value min 10M) ideally a qualification in a Construction/built environment discipline, SMSTS, CSCS Gold card, NRSWA Supervisor, First Aid.
Crucially you must have demonstrable experience of Works Management preferably in a infrastructure based environment – specifically experience of structures, bridge deck replacements, reinforced concrete experience and utility or highways
