About the place :
The client is industry's first open theatre kitchen and is a destination in its own right, comprising of a main kitchen, deli counter, jacket potato and soup stand and in-house bakery.
The Café offers homemade dishes prepared daily by our chefs and a selection of cakes and fine patisserie made by our talented pastry team.
Job description :
* As a Senior / Head Barista, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the establishment. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to :
* Assists the Head Barista and supervises to ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.
* Manages shifts while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
* To lead shifts when assigned by line manager,
* To ensure all coffee equipment is in good working order and report any faults as required
* Customer Service
* To undertake daily Health & Safety and Food Safety checks, reporting and actioning any issues as required
* To produce & serve all drinks to brand standards & recipes
* Ensure all drinks are made and served to brand standard
* Team Leadership
* Quality Control
* Training and recruitment of staff
* Maintain stock levels/availability by replenishing display/fridges within company guidelines/planograms, rotating stock to ensure compliance with company health & safety guidelines.
* Train all new team members to Barista level using appropriate training materials
* Responsible for delivering an exceptional service
* To sell & demonstrate product knowledge by advising the customer/answering queries & suggesting products to the customer as part of the ordering process. Act on initiative to optimise sales to the customer.
* To operate the till in line with brand till operation & cash handling procedures.
