Business Development Manager – Critical Power

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £44000 – £52000/annum Management bonus

My client is looking to recruit an experienced BDM with experience within the critical energy/power industry.
Duties include:
* Develop commercial strategies to maximise revenue and profit, whilst leveraging existing customer base.
* Develop strategic plans and proposals for winning new opportunities with a focus on large strategic long-term recurring opportunities.
* Identify new business opportunities through emerging market conditions, laws/regulations, and the energy transition (net zero).
* Ownership and delivery of sector-focused sales & marketing plan to create leads and networking opportunities.
* Partner with strategically important customers
* Identify new offerings/solutions in line with market requirements that the business can develop and sell to existing or new customers through established or new channels.
* Work in conjunction with key stakeholders to maximise the full potential of the company’s assets by maximising and protecting utilisation, quality, and availability to Customers.
* Establish and maintain existing and new relationships at senior levels, working with our national, development and regional sales teams accordingly.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the critical power market, market trends, and new technological advancements.
* Coordinate with internal teams to develop plans for launching of new products/services, and their effective onboarding.
* Effectively manage the delivery of products, services, and project-based activities to customer sites as appropriate.
Ideally you will have:
* An in depth understanding of the renewable energy, generators, UPS and loadbanks
* Excellent planning and organising skills – able to prioritise work load and work under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Demonstrable project management (large scale event delivery) and customer service skills
* Good interpersonal and communication skills – including negotiating and influencing. You’ll have the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external customers
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team – you'll be an effective team member with a highly supportive, collaborative approach
* Results driven approach
* Comfortable using your own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with our company policies and pricing structures
* A flexible and adaptable approach, you’ll enjoy a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment where you’ll manage multiple tasks, deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy
* Driving licence essential.
* Flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
* Computer literate.
* A flexible approach and a 'can do' attitude.
