This is an amazing opportunity to join a creative, innovative and expanding organisation who provide beautiful products to some of the UK’s largest retailers.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, tenacious, self-motivated, and capable team-player, who has “Business to Business” experience within a Commercial environment. The Account Manager role resides within a dynamic and target driven sales team and involves managing existing clients and developing new accounts, to support the continued growth of the business.
The role holder will be an outstanding relationship builder with both customers and internal departments, dedicated to optimising margins, maximising profitability, and ensuring that excellence is prioritised.
This full-time position is office based but may require travel around the UK and internationally for meetings and trade shows, so candidates must be prepared for this.
Job Responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for the day-to-day management of specified customer accounts within the business to secure strong future relationships
* Building and growing customer relationships, negotiating with them and managing their accounts to achieve agreed annual sales targets
* To execute sales and identify business development opportunities with commercial capability
* Influence decision makers across a range of sectors both internally and externally
* Ensure customer satisfaction and manage quality of product and service delivery to an extremely high standard
* Generate and qualify business sales across your customer base by understanding their needs
* Where applicable lead and drive the project teams internally to deliver to set timescales
* Understand the same type products in the market place/what our competitors are selling
* With the Sales team research new sales opportunities
* Participate in trade shows, fairs and events
* Respond to sales enquiries (email or phone)
Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Proven Business to Business experience (preferably within a creative realm), working directly with customers to understand individual expectations
* Proven success in the management of existing relationships
* A background knowledge or an understanding of wholesale and retail sales techniques
* Ability to work collaboratively to meet customer expectations
* Understanding of objectives to identify additional opportunities within customers and associated companies
* Excellent interpersonal understanding
* Ambitious, goal driven with a competitive edge
* Effective networking with the ability to influence at all levels
* Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and achieve agreed deadlines
* The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally
* Persuasiveness, confident and amiable
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications
* Managing projects and delivering within set timescales
* Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills – a logical and systematic approach to work
Salary: £30 – 35k per annum DOE
Hours: 08.30am – 17.00pm Monday – Friday
