Proposal Manager / Bid Manager
Our client is a leading FM provider and is now recruiting for an Proposal Manager / Bid Manager to work closely with the Director of Technical Facility Services to devise, implement and take ownership of Commercial proposals and bids including the framework estimation and technical pricing/costing.
The salary for the Proposal Manager / Bid Manager is up to £60k. This role is also based from our clients office in Watford .
The Proposal Manager / Bid Manager will be responsible for leading on bids from pre-qualification through to award and will range in value from £3M – £10M for both Hard and Soft service delivery.
The Proposal Manager / Bid Manager will be responsible for:
* Coordination and support of internal meetings related to proposal development and budget preparation
* Support of Business Development in the communication and negotiation with clients
* Look after the entire bid stage of tender negotiations, from drafting documents to final handover to the contract manager
* Prepare responses to requests for information, pre-qualification questionnaires, invitations to tender and requests for proposals
* Attend internal and external meetings that are part of the bid process
* Maintain Bid Management content, collateral and tools – making sure all information is properly monitored and reviewed
* Have the ability to write compelling answers to tender questions including the provision of evidence to support the text.
* Liaise with a wide variety of internal support functions to ensure the most up to date and relevant responses to tender questions.
* Focus absolutely on the final product and submitting winning profitable bids.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* Degree qualified (or equivalent)
* Practical experience of building service engineering/FM delivery.
* APMP Certification Course (Associate and/or Professional)
* Formal bid writing training
* Previous experience of working on public and private sector Facilities Management tenders
* Understanding of Hard and/or Soft Facilities Management/Services, with an ability to support the development of the operational and commercial solution for new business pursuits
