Here, you’ll use your consultative approach, technical background, and innately curious mind to work with customers, solve technical challenges, and find the best solution for their needs.
About the role
In the role, you’ll split your time between proactively generating new business opportunities, nurturing inbound leads, and managing existing accounts, all within the market segments that you’re responsible for.
Your technical background and knowledge will be invaluable to you when it comes to consulting with customers, but you’ll also have the backing of expert technical, regulatory, and marketing colleagues to help you deliver the right solutions for your prospects and customers.
When you’re not working with prospects or existing accounts, you’ll probably be conducting competitor/industry analysis, supporting global distributors, producing forecasts, or supporting the wider business development team.
Due to their success using video meetings, the need for travel in the role is expected to be minimal.
About you
You’ll hold a degree (or equivalent) in a scientific subject that’s relevant to chemistry, biology, microbiology, materials, polymers, coatings or similar. In addition, you’ll have experience in a sales, business development, account management, or client-facing technical support role.
As a person, you’ll be self-motivated, highly organised, driven, confident, and, above all, curious enough to overcome technical challenges and create real innovation.
Fluency in additional languages would be advantageous but isn’t essential to the role.
