This role will own the product workstream that helps organisations in the chemicals commodities markets obtain the intelligence that supports the running of their businesses.
You will shape and deliver a key part our vision and product strategy and, in return, this is an opportunity to work with a talented close-knit team of product managers who are passionate about customer centric solutions.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with some proven success leading a product management team. Prior experience in commodities is an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities
* Determines strategic product vision, product strategy and priorities for their assigned portfolio, in conjunction with the senior product director and wider stakeholders.
* Interacts with customers frequently and understands their use cases and business in great depth.
* Acts as the strategic product owner for assigned portfolio, including cross prioritisation of assigned senior product owners and product owners.
* Ensures execution of the product strategy to the highest standards and customer satisfaction.
* Key leadership role within the product leadership team and cross functional strategy group for assigned portfolio.
* Drives formulation of overall research/testing strategy and ensures product decisions are based on data from a wide range of sources.
* Develops go to market strategy and launch plans at the assigned portfolio level through coordination with stakeholders and is accountable for co-ordinated execution across product, sales, marketing, and other customer facing teams.
* Ensure commercial focus of product portfolio including revenue goals and proactive management of the product lifecycle.
* Acts as a coach and mentor to more junior members of the team.

Experience / Skills:
* Prior experience leading other product managers.
* Prior digital product experience in either web or data.
* Comfortable being a role model for others in the team; and mentoring across the business.
* Comfortable identifying new trends, potential problems, and opportunities early.
* Highly effective coaching others to analyze information to assess problems.
* Demonstrable curiosity and a hypothesis led approach to product management.
* Excellent communication skills, familiar with championing product strategy and management across complex businesses.
* Highly collaborative, values diverse perspectives and talent; and able to create a positive environment.
* Experience with business information or commodity intelligence would be an advantage.
* Bachelor/Master’s degree in relevant area.
