Salary : £45000 – £50000/annum

With well over a million customers nationwide, our client is a leading wholesale operator, an incredibly diverse business with a long and successful history and its own distribution channels.

The Role

A rarely available opportunity to join the business, as a Press and PR Manager has become available. A hybrid working pattern, means that you will be spending two or three days in the office or visiting customers and you will be required to travel as the role requires, within the UK, up to two or three days each month.

The role will involve:

Protecting and evaluating the company’s reputation in the media through consistent messages

Preparing reactive responses to media enquires

Managing external press releases, including selling in positive news stories

Organisation of press events and visits

Management of customer awards and events

Reviewing and improving awards and sponsorship programme

Managing customer magazines delivering over £300k net

Supporting filming opportunities

Supporting social media teams with difficult responses and approval of content

Managing external press releases

Sharing summaries of media coverage and analysis

Deputising for the Head of PR when necessary

Personal Profile

Experience of Press and PR in a B2B environment

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Proven experience in the writing and delivery of campaigns

Confidence in dealing with the media

Ability to work well under pressure

Familiarity of dealing with multiple stakeholders

Exceptional organisational skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Problem Solving and good initiative

Motivating, coaching and guiding direct report
