Salary : £30000/annum + Overtime paid after 44 hours/week

The Role :

CFC Consult is looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie for a famous patisserie based in Woking.

* Responsible for the supervision of all pastry service throughout the property.

* Ensure the smooth running of this section ensuring the standards of cuisine and hygiene are maintained.

* Make sure all recipes are for the pastry and bakery are standardised and communicated to Pastry personnel.

* Ensure that the bakery produces all items to the required standard.

* Make sure all goods are stored correctly and hygienically in accordance with HACCP specifications.

* Be able to work well on their own initiative and to work in a team environment.

* Stocking checking and ordering ingredients.

* Weighing and measuring ingredients.

* Decorating pastries and other desserts using a variety of different sauces, toppings and other items.

* Contributing ideas to the menu.

* Keeping accurate records.

* Recruiting, hiring and training Assistants or Junior Chefs.

* Operating a variety of kitchen equipment.

* Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.

* Have a good knowledge of all the pastry basics : preparing, baking, and decorating a wide range of sweet treats, from cakes and pies to chocolates and petit fours.

Requirements :

* Excellent knowledge of HACCP.

* Previous experience as a Pastry Chef within the hotel industry.

* Participate in training provided by the company.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Fluency in English, both oral and written.
