KITCHEN MANAGER – RESTAURANT IN RETAIL VENUE NEAR HERSHAM – DAY SHIFTS ONLY – TABLE SERVICE – PERMANENT POSITION – 42.5 HOUR CONTRACT – STARTING SALARY CIRCA £30,000 + ADDITIONAL BENEFITS – ALTERNATE WEEKENDS OFF

We are assisting in the recruitment of a Kitchen Manager to lead a small brigade for this restaurant based in the centre of a popular garden centre.

Part of a well-established, family run business who own over 15 venues, mainly across Surrey and Hampshire. They have a manageable menu with a breakfast menu and a lunch menu consisting of mixture of sandwiches, pizza's and main meals available.

The restaurant is waiter service with a well-stocked bar and food is delivered table service. There is an established brigade in place and you will be responsible for:

* Leading the kitchen team, dealing with training requirements and organising the staff rota

* Deal directly with queries, both from restaurant staff and customers

* Form part of the on-site management team, reporting to the Catering Manager

* Ensure smooth running of preparation and service times

* Lead the line, ensuring all dishes are in line with company expectations

* Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed

The restaurant achieves an average of £8,000 to 12,000 per week, with food served until 3pm. We are looking for someone who:

* Has gained some kitchen management experience, ideally in a restaurant, retail or contract catering environment

* Can manage a team to achieve company objectives

* Able to follow menu guidelines and deliver consistency on dishes

* Can engage with the team and head office employees
