OVERVIEW

It’s core purpose and responsibilities are:
* Work within the site operations supervisory team to develop, drive and, establish a quality mindset at every level of the team.
* Facilitate and lead the problem-resolution process, taking an active role in championing concern closure.
* Investigate customer concerns and feedback from external and internal sources.
* Coach and develop a wider understanding of quality methods, tools and the customer specification.
THE ROLE
In more detail this will need a comprehensive skillset to deliver and demonstrate
* Tenacious attitude and appetite for solving problems within the refurbishment process, leading the problem-resolution process with peers and colleagues onsite across all levels for both internal and customer concerns
* Develop, maintain, and improve the operational control processes to achieve world-class “right-first-time” performance
* Custodian of the site-specific process control plan, continually challenging the effectiveness and maturity of the process controls in place and improving them to drive better efficiency and effectiveness
* Create and monitor key process indicators to establish and understand the maturity and capability of the refurbishment process
* Assess and mitigate the risk of process or product / quality standard changes and ensure a change implementation plan is created, used and reviewed throughout the change process
* Develop and maintain excellent internal relationships by providing effective communication, in line with business expectations, on concern investigation status and escalation topics
* Develop and maintain excellent external customer relationships by providing effective communication, in line with business expectations, on concern investigation status and escalation topics
* Monitor, measure, and action site specific quality scorecard measures to drive improvement and increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction
THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Knowledge and Experience:
* +3 years of experience within a manufacturing / engineering sector of which the last 1 will have been in a quality management discipline (or a role where responsibility for qualitative deliverables can be demonstrated)
* Qualified preferable to a HND level within a relevant subject area (manufacturing / process design and development / total quality management)
* Excellent attention for detail and a unquenchable thirst for solving problems and understanding why things happen
* Tenacious curiosity that always gets the better of you
* Strong personal productivity drive with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadline, confident with project delivery and project management demands
Technical Skills:
* Practical application knowledge of a formally recognised problem-solving approach (e.g 8D, Six Sigma, etc.)
* Comfortable manipulating and using data to make informed decisions and to resolve problems
* Lean / Process Design experience and expertise
* Highly developed aural and written communication skills
* Specific job role requirements as stated in the Functional Training Matrix
* Practical project management and project delivery expertise
* IATF Quality Core Tools (APQP / PPAP / SPC / MSA / Control Plan)
