Would you like to spring board your career in media?

We are looking for an entry level metadata editor to produce accurate and comprehensive TV programme metadata which includes schedules, programme metadata and images for TV channels and platforms within own portfolio, and to deepen and enrich TV programme and film metadata identified as the ‘most searched’ media in the UK and Ireland for TV channels and major video-on-demand (VoD) platforms, complemented by a selection of high-quality images obtained from various authorised sources.

In this role, the post holder will be expected to communicate effectively and in a responsible and professional manner to foster strong relationships with broadcasters, authorised media outlets, colleagues, and customers alike, ensuring client satisfaction and deadlines are always adhered to.

What you’ll be doing

As a Metadata Editor your main responsibilities will be:

• Scheduling, enhancing and delivering accurate TV schedules for a portfolio of channels to deadline, demonstrating a clear understanding of customer requirements and in-house TV databases
• Sourcing appropriate, high-quality images at various levels to complement broadcaster schedules using Adobe Photoshop and in-house databases, demonstrating a faultless understanding of customer requirements and best practices
• Responding to customer queries and internal production teams in a flexible, professional, and supportive manner
• Fostering broadcaster relationships to ensure TV programme metadata is received in advance of deadlines
• Aiming to improve quality and coverage of TV programme metadata across the department with creativity and self-motivation
• Adhering to SOPs and quality procedures
• Conducting quality assurance checks ahead of handovers
• Monitoring current news events and amend content where necessary across all platforms
• Working with colleagues throughout the wider department to continuously improve the quality of content, providing cover for amendments, scheduling and other enhancements as required outside of own portfolio
• Demonstrating a clear understanding of customer requirements
• Delivering images in compliance with UK Copyright Law

Training

Training on in-house systems (Pictures Interface, TASC, MLE, Pawa, Production Viewer) will be provided
