Our client is an established solicitors based in central Harrogate. They are currently recruiting for a Solicitor, to specialise in Wills and Estates Planning.
This is a great opportunity to join a well established law firm in the heart of Harrogate. Reporting to the Head of Estate Planning, the successful candidate will undertake fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department and firm
SOLICITOR – KEY TASKS
* To manage work in accordance with the firm’s set procedures and quality standards
* To ensure confidentiality and security of all documentation
* To progress work effectively and efficiently
* To work with secretarial and administration staff to produce the best level of service for the client
* To participate as a member of the firm in client development activity and to promote the firm
* To produce work to the required standard of professionals to encourage referrals and repeat business
* To keep up to date with developments in the law, taking responsibility for self-development and ensuring CPD is observed
* To apply the law effectively to client problems
* To meet with all requirements of the Law Society regulations for professional conduct and comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
* To ensure the firms procedures are followed when recording time and managing the billing process
* To meet set targets
* Cost drafting where appropriate
* To manage your own relationships within the firm to contribute to a positive working environment for everyone
SOLICITOR – SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
* Qualified Solicitor/ILEX with a sound understanding of areas of Wills & Estates Planning
SOLICITOR – EXPERIENCE
* PQE plus, with strong skills and experience as a fee earner in major areas of Estate Planning
