Job Purpose
We are seeking a solicitor with 5 years + PQE with a strong flair for defending hearing loss claims handling to join a growing vibrant team in the Belfast office.
Key Accountabilities
•Develop and maintain key and new client relationships, including attendance at appropriate client meetings
•Handling own caseload of NIHL and disease claims including high value/complex/nominated cases with appropriate assistance and agreed performance metrics (chargeable hours and billing)
•Assist in increasing the profile of Keoghs NI in the Disease market (which may include the production of marketing information including articles/blogs, delivering training/seminars etc)
•Contribution to relevant contract tender submissions
•Lead the development of key strategies to combat opponent behaviours
Working Hours
35 hours per week. Primary location for this role is the Belfast office

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Essential
•Previous experience in litigated defendant insurance work, particularly NIHL
•An ability to prioritise workload & strong attention to detail
•Ability to work with case management systems
Desirable
• experience in EL/PL casualty cases as well as other industrial disease claims including HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques and Asbestosis claims and Dermatitis, Covid and Stress Claims
Required Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to identify pragmatic solutions to challenges
