An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join an established law firm who have a strong presence and excellent reputation within the local market. Our client is a multi-disciplinary high street legal practice serving clients in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire for over 100 years.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a varied caseload of private family matters including divorce, financial settlements, cohabitation agreements, civil partnerships, children matters, high-value private family matters and prenuptial agreements so previous experience in these areas will be required.

The role will involve advising clients on all aspects of family law, preparing documents and correspondence, interviewing clients, negotiating on behalf of clients, and consistently meeting billing targets.

You will be required to:

* Build professional relationships with clients and other contacts

* Maintain and promote the good image and reputation of the firm

* Assist colleagues, Directors and Heads of Department with any marketing and training events and initiatives

* Manage and supervise junior staff and support staff as required including assisting with recruitment, training etc

* Effectively use the case management software, financial and billing processes

The applicant must be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a proven track record of meeting billing targets, strong organisational and administrative skills, and a methodical, accurate and detailed approach. The ability to multitask, work to tight deadlines and work effectively in a team and on your own initiative are also vital.

We are looking for a proactive and results focused individual able to engage with clients and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner, establish and maintain excellent relationships and provide high quality legal support during difficult times.

This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, 1 hour lunch each day), however for the suitable candidate, part time, and hybrid working may be considered.
