An exciting opportunity has arisen for an associate to join my Client who are a top 45 law firm with offices throughout the UK and they are looking to recruit an associate for their Casualty department on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role:
• Handling range of complex and sensitive cases on behalf of local authorities.
• In the main the claims cover:
o Social care
o Safeguarding and child protection
o Human rights
o Defamation
o Data protection
• Supervising junior colleagues and providing technical support
• Assisting Partners on providing training to clients
• Attending meetings with clients
• Achieve set hours and billing targets
• Meet deadlines, comply with procedural requirements from various clients and the firm
• Comply with relevant policies and procedures
Person Specification
Previous experience of managing own caseload of multi track claims involving complex liability issues.
Knowledge of social care claims/HRA desirable.
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Excellent team working skills
Excellent IT skills
Flexible approach
Ability to work on own and as part of a team
