My client is a multi-sited company with each school registered separately with the Department for Education as an Independent School. They specialise in teaching students who may present challenging behaviours or are not suited to mainstream education. They offer an alternative curriculum to meet the needs of each student on an individual basis. Due to an increase in work and a desire to improve business growth and efficiency BPS is seeking a HR Systems & Recruitment Manager to join our clients multifunctional team on a permanent basis.
Overview of the role:
To lead and coordinate on the set-up and embedding of a new HR system, coordinate training across the Group on the system and ensure compliance of use. Support SLT in accessing data as needed. Also, lead on the recruitment of staff in order to drive the ongoing success and growth in Progress Schools.
As a HR Systems & Recruitment Manager you will:
* Work with the Group alongside CEO and Transformation & Innovation Director to scope, implement and embed a new HR system. Ensuring effective data transfer and training for The Group.
* Ensuring compliance with the use of the system.
* Advocating for the system and its effective use.
* Champion all HR business processes as a superuser of the system alongside providing support for other system users.
* Supporting on data and analytics as appropriate.
* Working alongside the outsourced agency and internal staff, supporting on the recruitment of staff to ensure schools are adequately staff resourced and able to deliver a quality service from day one.
* Diligently implementing the safer recruitment procedures in line with legislation and guidance set out within Keeping Children Safer in Education 2022.
* Support the delivery of an Employee Attraction Strategy which targets those individuals who have the essential skills end core values identified for AP.
* Working closely with our outsourced agency to ensure that recruitment targets are met and align with the Progress Schools’ growth plan.
* Provide recruitment related data and reporting to leaders in order to promote data-driven decision making and strategy development.
Desired Skills and qualifications:
* Ideally educated to degree level, but not essential
* Prior experience working within a similar role is essential
* Experience of implementing a new HR system is desirable
* Proven experience of utilising a HR system to maximum positive impact essential
* Experience of following safer recruitment procedures
* Committed to providing a helpful, friendly and responsive service
* Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
* Exceptional organisational ability and time management skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confident in communicating at all levels within the organisation
* Numerical and analytical skills
* Patient, calm and flexible nature in approach to workload
* Digitally curious and problem-solving mindset, embracing continuous improvement & change
* Experience with Microsoft Word software package – primarily Word and Excel
* Accurate data entry skills with excellent attention to detail including proofing
* Proactive attitude takes initiative to contribute effectively to the team.
