General Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £60000 – £65000/annum Bonus, Private Health
We are partnering with a trucking/catering company based in Dover looking for a General Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Group Operations Director, the role will be responsible for the efficient and profitable running of the facility.
Responsibilities;
* Controlling capital expenses, spending plans, and truck stop profit and loss accounts.
* Participate in the assessment and creation of the truck stop strategy and performance metrics.
* In conjunction with the board of directors, plan and carry out operations according to established budgets, volumes, and timeframes.
* Recognize all team members' requirements and needs, making sure they are aware of the operational goals, purposes, and accomplishments.
* Conduct troubleshooting and provide solutions for challenging problems.
* Maintain and develop working relationships with other senior managers in the company
* Maintain a working knowledge of necessary policies and official regulations
* Manage the facility's activities to ensure they comply with the organization's requirements for quality, legal, and environmental policies as well as general duty of care
* Lead the team's development, including the creation of suitable incentive programmes.
* Ensure that employee performance evaluations are conducted in accordance with corporate policy.
* Ensure that the teams have the necessary resources, and that employee hours and absences are managed to ensure that operational requirements are fulfilled.
* Monitor, measure, and report on operational challenges, opportunities, and development goals and achievements within approved formats and timeframes.
* Complete any additional tasks that the Group Operations Director and other board members request.
Skills Required;
* Strong hands-on approach
* Experience working in a catering/security facility
* Extensive management experience is essential for this role
* Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
* Able to manage a large facility
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
