The Role:

Direct Line Management responsibility for a team of 3 operational managers across the warehouse
and transport functions and full accountability for the effective management, safety, development,
training, and wellbeing of 120 team members operating on the site.
Depot budget and forecast, Company KPI and Service Level management.
Ensure the integrity of the Company stock holding of circa £3 Million, across c. 6,500 SKU’s for yourdepot.
Effective asset management of c. 40 vehicles in addition to the mechanical handling equipment
operated within the depot.
Management of the company’s internal stock transfer and sub supply network.
The person:

Strong I.T and administration skills, Numeracy, and a good level of English.
Knowledge of electronic stock management and picking systems.
Customer Service Focus, Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, stakeholder
management and influencing skills.
An action-oriented individual, who is results-driven, solutions focussed, can manage multiple priorities,
and deliver results on time.
Be a good team player, with attention to detail and good problem-solving skills that follows processes in
place and participates in sharing ideas for improvements.
Experience working as a Site Manager or Operations Manager, ideally gained within the Foodservice.
Experience of Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP and TACCP procedures. Experience with stock
control, goods-in, goods-out and Transport within a Foodservice, FMCG or other temperature-controlled food wholesale environment.
Experience managing people across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, coaching & mentoring and
team building skills.
Experience managing budgets effectively, including cost management.
Organised and planned approach to work and the ability to ensure that the team achieve set targets.
A good understanding of employment law.
Commercially aware with a strong business acumen and experience of contract negotiations and the
development of business opportunities
