School Facilities Manager
We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our clients' great team of staff who are dedicated, caring and committed to the school's values and to nurturing a strong relationship between staff, children and their families.
Are you a Facilities professional who is highly motivated, a hardworking multitasker and who enjoys being responsible for the upkeep of the School buildings and grounds whilst working to strict Health and Safety regulations?
This Facilities Manager role could be just for you!
Great variety of tasks across the site from minor repairs to helping with larger refurbishment projects or working with contractors with more specialist skills.
As Facilities Manager, you will also be a key holder, responsible for ensuring site security, carrying out routine health and safety checks of the buildings and school minibus, as well as porterage and general operational duties. You may also be asked to carry out transport duties so a full driving licence is required.
Due to the nature of the role, we require flexibility, a good knowledge of DIY skills and excellent attention to detail, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines and to adapt to changing work priorities in a calm and efficient manner.
This is full-time role working throughout the year with 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
The working hours (split shift) are between 7.00 – 12.00pm and 3.00pm – 6.00pm Monday . *There is some flexibility around these times.
Experience gained within a similar setting or a similar commercial skill set that would transfer to a school setting would be preferable but not essential. What is important is for the successful candidate to demonstrate a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and develop. We will give you all the training and support you need to progress.
