English Teacher
Job Type : Contract, Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £120 – £180/day
My client is a popular school on the outskirts of Grantham who are looking for an English Teacher to start ASAP with the potential to run until the end of the academic year on a full time basis to deliver English up to GCSE level, the ability to deliver to A Level is desirable but not essential. The successful English Teacher will be enthusiastic, set high but realistic targets to challenge the pupils to reach their full potential and deliver engaging lessons across the English department.
This is a full time role and at a school with a good reputation where students are motivated and keen to learn, English is a popular subject at the school. Although this is a temporary contract you will be expected to get involved with planning, marking etc. but time will be made available within the timetable and you get the opportunity to work in a supportive and well run English department.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
To be considered ideally you will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognised Teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, GTP, Certificate in Education etc. Overseas Trained English Teachers (OTT) will also be considered but it's highly desirable that you have Qualified Teacher Status for the UK.
All English Teachers who register with Travail Education will have 2 years professional references taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed or be part of the DBS Update Service, you will be required to attend a face to face registration subject to social distancing measures and you must provide details of the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
