Salary: £50,000 + (negotiated based on experience)
My client is looking to bring in a Lead Ecologist to oversee their current ecology unit, develop their skillset and run all ecology projects focussing on Rail, Renewables & Development. Their dedicated ecology, environmental management, and contaminated land teams play a crucial role in comprehensive and integrated engineering and environmental solutions.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in ecology or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 12 years of experience in a relevant role (e.g. Environmental Consultancy).
Extensive experience working in a similar role within the ecology, nature, conservation, and biodiversity discipline.
In-depth knowledge of legislation relating to Ecology amongst surveying techniques and licensing mitigation.
Membership of a professional institution e.g. CIEEM.Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations and manage a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
Manage the Ecology team and seek out new prospects in ecology for IKM, aligned with strategic objectives.
Develop fee ideas and oversee budgets for the ecology team's workload.
Communicate with other Discipline Principals.
Oversee the internal development and technical capabilities of the Ecology team.Benefits
