This pivotal role offers the chance to play a vital part in our engineering team, directly contributing to both business and customer satisfaction. By supporting the Engineering Manager, you’ll help maintain department standards and manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering team. Work closely with operations and site management to achieve key targets, ensure peak performance from plant and equipment, and drive production efficiency. Offering leadership and expertise, you’ll elevate engineering standards site-wide.
Skills required for Assistant Engineering Manager:
Proven experience in engineering within the food or FMCG industry, demonstrating an ability to align with site engineering strategies and meet departmental targets.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with operations managers, attending review meetings, and fostering departmental relationships.
Experience in managing long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects.
Skilled in supervising installations, modifying processes for enhanced productivity, and implementing continuous improvement actions.
Leadership skills for mentoring and coaching team members, promoting safety practices, and managing workload planning through CMMS.
