My client is a very popular school on the outskirst of Grantham looking for a full time, qualified DT Teacher to start from easter until the end of the academic year to deliver predominately Product Design up to GCSE level. A part time opportunity may also be available for the right DT Teacher but the successful DT Teacher should be enthusiastic, set high but realistic targets to challenge the pupils to reach their full potential and deliver engaging lessons across the DT department.
As this is effectively a full time time role, you will be expected to get involved with some planning but PPA time will be made available within the timetable, you get the opportunity to work in a very supportive and well run DT department with students who are keen to learn.
Applications are welcome from Recently Qualified DT Teachers as well as more experienced DT Teachers.
In return you will be paid in accaordance with the MPS.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
To be considered ideally you will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognised Teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, GTP, Certificate in Education etc. Overseas Trained DT Teachers (OTT) will also be considered but it's highly desirable that you have Qualified Teacher Status for the UK.
All DT Teachers who register with Travail Education will have 2 years professional references taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed or be part of the DBS Update Service, you will be required to attend a face to face registration (subject to social distancing guidelines) and you must provide details of the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
