Pertemps are recruiting for a Digital Production Operator to work with a Public Sector organisation based in Edinburgh. In this role you will be digitalising hard paper materials into digital formats. Applicants must have high levels of attention to detail and be able to work with hardware and modern software such as online media applications.
Assignment: Immediate start – December 2022
Pay: £10.89 per hour
Location: Salisbury, Edinburgh office based
Hours: 37hrs per week
Job overview
The Digital Production Operator undertakes the tasks required to deliver digitised copies of physical items at the organisation. This involves the preparation of items to ensure they are accurately described and in good condition, the digitisation of the items using digital cameras or scanners, and quality assurance of the final images.
Tasks
" Handle a range of paper-based collection materials.
" Digitise materials using digital cameras or scanning equipment.
" Work with digitisation management systems as required.
" Assist with the assessment of collection materials' physical suitability for digitisation according to the business guidelines and standards.
Experience Required
" Attention to detail – perform work thoroughly and with great accuracy.

" Hardware – ability to use computers, peripherals, and standard office equipment.
" Software – ability to use web browsers, online media applications, and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

" Prioritising – ability to prioritise tasks within a set routine, and ability to work to deadlines.
" A valid basic disclosure
