Our public sector client is recruiting for a Digital and Communications Officer on a temporary basis for a 12-week contract, with possibility to extend. The position is based in Dundee but given the current restrictions, colleagues are currently working from home. This is a full-time post, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £16.19.

Due to the nature of this role, a basic disclosure is required issued within the last 12 months or applicants must be willing to apply.

As a Digital and Communications Officer, you will provide junior management support and carry out administrative duties that are moderately complex. The postholder will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure the content of the client's website is current, accurate and engaging
Develop a timetable for the review of content on the client's website, working with other experts and teams within the organisation to review and refresh content as required
Contribute to the development and delivery of our overall communications strategy, delivering both internal and external communications activities as required. This work may include work on:
email campaigns
social media campaigns
external media campaigns
Support the management of the client's digital and communications contracts to always ensure that the client acts as an intelligent customer.
In line with organisational priorities and needs, work as part of a flexible team to perform other tasks as required.
