Our client is an award winning, Legal 500 ranked, full-service law firm which is growing rapidly- they are based in lovely offices in Farnborough. This is role is full time and office based paying up to £30,000 depending on experience.
The role is working within the Risk & Compliance Team and will be responsible for assisting with the administration of the firm’s internal compliance function on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team or independently and will be a strong team player. You will be articulate and able to communicate to all levels of individuals across the business. The company are looking for someone with relatable experience or knowledge of Money Laundering Legislation and SRA regulations. Alternatively, the successful candidate could have a relevant qualification in this area and be looking to pursue a career in Compliance.
* Performing compliance file audits and monitoring department file audits.
* Liaising with the Risk & Compliance Manager regarding any actions and associated reporting and follow ups.
* Maintaining the firm’s compliance registers e.g. SRA, ICO and Compliance breaches, gifts and hospitality, complaints, claims.
* Maintaining the firm’s compliance training registers.
* Organising firmwide in-person training and maintaining the firm’s on-line training platform.
* Assisting with new starter compliance engagement.
* Assisting the Risk & Compliance Manager with practising certificate renewals.
* Assisting with and maintaining referrals records and performing compliance audits on referral files.
* Compiling data and producing reports and commentary on various compliance data.
* Monitoring and providing updates to the firmwide department manuals.
* Preparing materials in advance of compliance training, meetings and clinics.
* Performing additional ad-hoc compliance associated tasks and activities as delegated by the Risk & Compliance Manager.
* Performing administration tasks e.g. booking meeting rooms, booking training courses.
* Supporting the Compliance Legal Assistant with processing daily inbox enquiries as and when required.
