We have a great opportunity for a Chef to join the FM services team based in Houghton le Spring DH4 5GU. The hourly rate on offer is £10.40 The expected hours will be 24 hours weekly, various shift patterns from between 7.30am to 4.30pm. This will be a fixed term contract of 3 months.

Job purpose

To provide a high quality, cost effective and efficient service of food and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors, produced in an environment that is safe and clean.

To ensure all catering services reflect staff and customer needs.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role

Responsible for the provision of a food and beverage service, in accordance with health and safety requirements, Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) and NHS Property Services policies and procedures

Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors by following all relevant policies and procedures and reporting all potential risks or hazards including equipment immediately to the Team Leader.

To ensure that menu planning is cost effective and that food service has minimal wastage.
