Sous chef required for a establishment in driving distance of Newcastle and Hexham. This kitchen shifts tend to be Midday – 9.30pm, 5 days a week, 45hrs, sous chef salary is £32k – £34k salary + tips in addition working within a team of around 13 chefs and benefits include free gym membership, free parking, straight shifts, canteen.
The role
We are looking for a sous chef who can support the head chef in the running of the kitchen, you will ensure the pass runs smoothly when the head chef is not in, you will help train new chefs, jump on sections that require support and run a key section if and when required. This role will include all the normal sous chef duties.
Experience
We are looking for a sous chef from a fresh food kitchen who can do both events and restaurant service, you will be able to run a team of over 10 in the kitchen and able to run the kitchen if the head chef is off.
