JOB TITLE : CATERING & GENERAL ASSISTANT

LOCATION: BIRMINGHAM

WORKING HOURS : FULL TIME OVER 7 DAYS

HancoxRead Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and proactive Catering and Facilities Assistant on behalf of their client to support their dynamic team in delivering exceptional hospitality services. As Catering and Facilities Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that their catering and facility needs are met efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Follow cleaning schedules including processing laundry of linen and personal clothing that comply with stringent Health and Safety policies including infection control measures.

* Support the management team in ensuring that adherence to the safe use and storage of chemicals (COSHH) is followed whilst carrying out all duties.

* Ensuring the equipment that controls the day to day functions of the centres is visually checked on a regular basis and is used in the correct manner.

* Carry out cleaning duties in an effective and efficient manner following safe working practices and whilst respecting dignity and choice.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality industry is strongly preferred.

* Knowledge of food safety regulations and health and safety guidelines.

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.

* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications/Experience Requirements

* NVQ Level 1 and 2 Cleaning

* Basic Health and Safety training

* Customer care training

* Manual Handling training

* Ability to work as a member of a team and to work on your own initiative under the guidance of line manager.

* Ability to use professional cleaning equipment.

* Ability to communicate with service users by demonstrating good customer care skills.

* Numerical skills of a standard to accurately complete statutory records.

* An understanding of Health & Safety Policies including the management of infectious outbreak
