Location: Hybrid (mainly home based with some travel to London)
Duration: 3 months
Job Description
Complete the current prototype, including accessories for ops and assess environmental requirements for scale.
● Minor mechanical & ergonomic changes to bespoke hardware prototypes
● No major deviation from current design
● Minor changes to CNC metal and 3D printed plastic parts
● Minor ergonomic improvements (e.g. cable management, harness mounts, rubberised handles)
● Research & testing specific operational accessories
● Improved battery
● Harness system(s)
● Transportation cases
● Holistic assessment to determine the environmental factors & testing required to operate bespoke hardware device at scale
● Thermal assessment of powered components
● Water / ingress protection
● Shock & vibration (transport & operational)
● Deliver an actionable summary of top-level design changes based on the above
Desired Qualifications
● Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
● Design experience with Electro-Mechanical devices
● Proficiency with a modern 3D CAD package (e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion)
● Proficiency with ECAD package (e.g. KiCAD, Autodesk Eagle, SolidWorks)
● Willing to work with a small team with a large amount of autonomy
● Some travel within Europe and North America will be required
