Pay £45 – 50 per hour (outside IR35). Our client is a fast-paced global leader in consumer goods, designing and creating 5* products for their consumers, they are currently recruiting a Contract Design Engineer on a rolling contract to support their team in London. This contract is outside IR35 and is paying £45-£50 per hour. This is a great opportunity to work with a company which has a reputation for consistently creating 5-star reviewed products.
As Contract Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
Detailed design from brief through to prototyping and then production.
Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data.
Design verification to validate concepts.
Detailed CAD design using Solidworks.
Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.To be a successful Contract Design Engineer you will have:
Proven experience as a Contract Design Engineer within the consumer goods sectors.
Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering.
Experience in consumer electronics or household/kitchen appliances.
Able to perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and stress/FEA.
