Superb opportunity for a Senior or Principal level Architect to join a leading, rapidly expanding, design and build main contractor based just outside Shrewsbury, Shropshire, to work on prestigious healthcare projects throughout the UK.

As a Senior Architect you will be joining a multi-disciplinary practice that specialise in off-site construction projects for the health, education and wider public sector throughout the UK. THE POSITION – SENIOR ARCHITECT OR PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT

An outstanding opportunity here for a Senior or Principal level Architect. The ideal candidate will hold at least 5 years worth of post qualification experience, and will ideally already be operating at a Senior level. You will be tasked with leading the concept design process on innovative and exciting projects in the healthcare sector ranging from £5-£60m in value across the UK.

You will also be tasked with being a team leader while running multiple projects, so the Senior Architect for this position will need project running experience along with team management credentials. Healthcare experience is an essential criteria, with the Senior Architect for this position ideally holding at least 2 years experience in this sector.

Other responsibilities of the Senior Architect include the following:

Working with key stakeholders to develop the initial brief, and production of creative and feasible design options
Developing the design with other in-house and external disciplines, and presenting to the client team at key milestones
Assisting with the production of 3D visualisations and other media forms
Production and creation of planning information for submission and attending planning meetings as required
Assisting with the production of pre-construction programmes and managing design output/co-ordination to those programmes
Ensuring all designs meet the client budget and comply with relevant regulations
Assisting with the production and collation of designer's risk registers and derogation schedules
Mentoring architectural Part 1 and Part 2 assistants

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS – SENIOR ARCHITECT

Fully qualified Architect with UK recognised qualifications at Part 1, 2 & 3 level
At least 5 years of post qualification experience.
ARB registered/RIBA chartered
Healthcare sector experience (at least 2 years exp.)
Comfortable in a client facing role
Experience and detailed understanding of healthcare design processes from briefing, clinical planning, and all the way through to detailed design & coordination of associated packages.
Software proficiency in Revit.
Sound knowledge of UK Building Regs
