Creative Graphic & Web Designer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £25000 – £30000/annum
We are looking for a talented designer who shares our ambitious plans and is keen to develop their own skills and experiences in our dedicated, lively and cake-loving team.

In return we can offer you hands-on experience of designing industry leading print catalogues, marketing emails and ecommerce websites with help and support from a great team.
The role is a true 50/50 mix of both print and digital design, with a focus on producing seasonal 80+ page catalogues and supporting print materials for our brands, these include magazine ads, posters, and leaflets. When not in catalogue production you will assist in creating fresh and engaging email marketing campaigns, all of which are designed to drive sales, retain, and grow our existing customer base.
As part of a collaborative design and marketing team you will also be involved in the ongoing evolution of our existing websites, which we're always looking to improve both visually and functionally. When required you will also work alongside our development team in designing new additional sites for commercial partners.
Each of our brands have their own unique and strong personality, as such you should be able to work to brand guidelines, as well as assisting in developing them further.

Essential Skills
All the usual Mac skills apply; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – some experience of Dreamweaver would be a real bonus.
Creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
Ability to develop a creative tone of voice for our communications
Self-starter with commercial awareness
Ability to multi-task and work cross-brand
Understanding of branding, brand image and identity for multiple brands
Ability to provide quick turnaround working under time pressures
Ability to translate briefs and work to guidelines
Demonstrable portfolio of strong layout, typographic and digital skills
Adobe Creative Suite on Mac OS
Minimum of 2 years relevant or agency experience
Desirable Skills
Experience of print design, print process and print finishing
Artwork & Photography reprographic skills
Design for mobile and tablet devices
Fundamentals of UX/UI design
Experience of working with eCommerce and conversion-focused web design
Writing SEO-optimised copy
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS & Web Design principles
Understanding of CRM/email sending and deliverability
Understanding of technical and visual requirements behind HTML/Multipart email
Design and coding
Understanding of ethical and natural focused brands or marketplace will be a strong advantage
