Account Manager
Reports to: Account Director
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Project Management
* Use initiative to assist and support your team where needed
* Input timesheets, expenses, and ensure team administrative needs are kept up to date
* Create first draft client and project budgets/proposals to share with your senior team members
* Maintain up-to-date filing and documentation
* Make sure that all project budgets are positively managed and clients are informed of any changes that occur
* Compile business reports and ensure forecasting is maintained on a weekly basis
Creativity
* Write clear, concise and inspiring Creative Briefs and work closely with the creative and strategic teams briefing in projects
* Collect assets, samples and insights that will help inform and drive the team to deliver great work
* Be responsible for working with the design team to deliver refinement feedback
Client Relationships
* Aim to become part of the Client’s extended team; become their trusted partner who consistently delivers what they need
* Visit Clients with relevant team members and thoroughly understand and note all conversations. Where relevant, suggest ideas and solutions
* Create schedules and timing plans for projects, book in resources with the Studio Manager
New Business
* Support your teams in new business pitches; for example, sourcing information, images, competitor landscape information.
Professional Competencies
Career Experience
* 1+ years’ experience in a professional environment
Qualifications
* Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
Required Skills
* Strong written skills with the ability to write concise and inspirational creative briefs
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to create PowerPoint presentations using templates and to create and update Excel spreadsheets using basic formulas
* An understanding of financial processes with the aim to build complex cost estimates, undertake billing tasks, raise Purchase Orders and enter timesheets
* Understand how a basic forecast works, knowing how project values are split out by fee and expenses and be able to work out profitability of a job
* Understand and be able to work with accruals and deferments during the billing process
* Ability to deal with a variety of tasks and be able to prioritise these tasks and manage time accordingly
* A problem solver who uses initiative and can deliver speedy and pragmatic solutions
