Job Description – Motion Graphics Designer
ROLE SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a strong creative and enthusiastic Motion Graphics Designer to join their growing team. Working alongside a full-time team of post-production professionals, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from branded content, editorial & corporate films, to onsite red-carpet sizzles, social activations and PR launch assets – based at their HQ in Elstree.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with all members of the team to deliver work of the highest standard, as well as resolving technical and/or design issues in a timely manner.
• Provide creative input throughout the post-production process to help create industry leading content.
• Create and develop 2D and 3D Motion Graphics for various media output including broadcast, digital & social channels and live events.
• Work closely with Producers and Editors, offering input and developing new ideas.
• Participate in creative sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas as well as maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest graphic design techniques.
• Work closely with our edit and sound teams to ensure a smooth synergy between all elements of a project.
• Ensure best-in-class processes are in place and followed, especially around the delivery of final assets.
• Continue to develop expertise in motion graphics techniques.
• Comply with all company and client brand guidelines, deadlines and design standards at all times.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Minimum of 3-4yrs motion graphics experience working across a broad spectrum of clients, in a fast-paced agency or production environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe After Effects & Photoshop.
• Creative flair, originality, and a strong visual sense, coupled with excellent design, animation and typography skills.
• Good knowledge of Illustrator & InDesign as well as experience of Cinema4D.
• Strong attention to detail and established creative identity.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication, organisation, administrative and time management skills, as well as an excellent attention to detail.
• Keen interest in the technical side of video production.
• A desire to take ownership and responsibility for project activity, delivery and the quality of editing work.
• Must have a willingness to work long hours as needed, often under pressure.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
• Delivery of high-quality output for our projects and clients.
• Effective support on projects from concept to delivery of motion graphics, on time.
• Feedback on the handling of projects by senior team members.
• Performance to be formally reviewed after three months and then once per year
