Graphic Designer – 9 Month Fixed Term Contract (Hybrid Working)

Our client is a specialist retailer in high-value fixtures and fittings. They have been operational for nearly 20 years and work with some of the best designers and finest materials to offer the best in design, innovation and quality.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join their team on an initial 9 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities will include:

* Design and produce brand-related creative collateral for print and digital media, including but not limited to: Brochures, look-books, email marketing, social
media, website banners, landing pages, promotional materials, adverts, graphics for shows, exhibitions, events, installation guides, instructions, labels,
technical data sheets (as required), business stationery and other supporting material.
* Create innovative ideas and designs and put them into a context so that the rest of the team, client or customer can understand.
* Execute required image manipulation, retouching and layout.
* Conceptualise visuals based on commercial briefs.
* Ensure the accuracy of copy, content, design, and layout in all work produced.
* Ensure all design work is within defined brand guidelines.
* Work collaboratively within the wider creative team to art-direct on-trend CGIs and photography.
* Work closely with the Digital & Communications team to provide critical assets to support brand websites, social media, PR, magazine advertising and consumer email comms.
* Work collaboratively with external agencies where required.
* Work collaboratively within the wider creative team on the design of all exhibitions and events across each brand.
* Work collaboratively within the wider creative team to coordinate the creative approach across each brand within the showroom and other such display spaces (as required).

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

* A degree in Graphic design or similar.
* Commercial experience, either in-house or within a creative agency.
* Fluent in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
* Experience in email design and build (using Mailchimp or equivalent software).
* A talent for creative thinking and problem-solving with the ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
* A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
* Excellent organisational skills and time management.
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently when required.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A growth mindset, believing in their ability to improve through hard work and help from others.
* Dreamweaver/email coding, video editing and copywriting would be desirable.

Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Hours are 8:30 until 5:30 Mon to Fri – no weekends and no Bank Holidays
