Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEN school based in Wood Lane, Hammersmith & Fulham starting immediately. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent. The position will be on a daily rate between £80 to £90 dependant on experience.
The School:
The SEN school is 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated providing education for students aged between 2 to 19 years old with a range of severe learning difficulties (SLD) including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The school consists of 70 students with the goal of enabling each pupil to develop to their full potential. The school use the National Curriculum as a foundation but it is differentiated to meet the needs of each individual student. All students within the school hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is easily accessible by public transport with the closest station being a 5 minute walk. Also, they provide parking onsite and in local areas.
The Position:
You will be working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in KS2 within a Year 3 class supporting a student on a 1:1 basis. The needs of the student includes SLD and PMLD. You will be required to support the student within the classroom with their academic learning and outside the classroom in practical activities with the help of dedicated Therapists. You will be required to carry out personal care including feeding and toileting. Full training will be provided in areas which is necessary and you will be supported by experienced members of staff.

Hold previous experience working within SEN
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
