Term-Time Kitchen Assistant
Job Type : Permanent, Part Time, Part Time
Salary : £13/hour
Working 30 hours per week term time only (36 weeks per year) – 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. – £14,000 pa = approx £13 per hour.
Duties:
* To support the kitchen in preparing and serving lunches and ensuring lunch areas are prepared in readiness for lunch sittings and cleaned afterwards.
* Assisting Cook with general kitchen duties including preparation of vegetables, salads, fruits and cold dishes.
* Ensuring stock is stored correctly and assisting with stock ordering.
* Adhering to food quality and hygiene standards.
The right candidate will have the following skills:
* Experience of working in a kitchen/catering environment
* Due to location must be a car owner/driver
The following qualifications are an advantage, but not essential:
* NVQ Level 2 food preparation & cookery
* Level 2/3 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
